CET units can contact SCALE LET MarcomCX for marketing support for all Continuing Education and Training (CET) courses, excluding master’s degrees.  

CET units can reach out to the following contacts in the SCALE LET MarcomCX Please allow up to 3 working days for the team to respond to your request.

Depending on the nature of the marketing request, the team will identify the most suitable platform(s) and create tailored creative outputs to achieve the CET unit’s objectives. The available platforms to market your courses and programmes include:

  • Social media (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn)
  • YouTube
  • SCALE website (for publication of testimonials, articles, banners)
  • Email
    • Ad hoc emails dedicated to specific database segments are sent on a case-by-case basis
    • Explore the possibility of featuring courses and/or articles in monthly e-newsletter
  • Display banners

CET units must provide the following information:

  • Synopsis of the course / programme / certificate
  • Target audience – Who is the course for specifically?
    • Industry, job role, years of experience, seniority
    • Why do they need to take this course?
    • How will the course impact the target audience?
    • What are the skills the course equips them with?
    • What roles can they take on after completing the course?
  • What are the learning outcomes?
    • What can learners get out of the course?
      • Note: Please keep the learning outcomes simple and avoid using too much jargon
  • What gap in the workforce or industry does this course address?
    • What skills gap is being addressed?
    • How is this course a solution?
  • Are any of NUS’ competitors offering similar courses / certificates / programmes?
    • Who are they and what are they offering?
    • If yes, what sets ours apart from theirs?
      • Note: Please avoid listing “The NUS brand name” as a competitive advantage
    • When is the course targeted to run?
      • Note: Courses should have a closing date for registration at least three months from the date you contact the SCALE LET MarcomCX team. This is to ensure there is ample runway for the planning and execution of the marketing campaign.
    • What is the expected class size?
    • What is the course fee without funding?
    • Is funding available for the course? What funding is applicable?
    • Are the trainers agreeable to be featured on social media?
      • Either via a video interview or static carousel post?
      • Trainers will need to provide an overview of the industry, insights and tips to demonstrate their expertise in the subject matter
      • Note: This supports the NUS CET brand and can help raise awareness and interest in the course and possibly lead to more sign-ups.
    • Are they testimonials from past participants?
      • If yes, does the SCALE LET MarcomCX Team have permission from the learners to use them? Please also provide a profile picture of the learner along with their designation and workplace.
      • If no, can the Marketing Team reach out to past learners to interview them?

The marketing budget is dependent on the expected class size and the course fee.

The budget will cover the creative development and media placement fee, which will be paid for by SCALE LET MarcomCX.

  • Based on the allocated budget, our appointed agencies will propose the most suitable approach and the possible Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), such as awareness, clicks-to-landing, engagement, traffic, etc.
  • Should the CET unit wish to include additional KPIs (e.g. lead generation), they will be responsible for covering these additional costs.

SCALE LET MarcomCX team will:

  • Oversee agency management, along with the development of creative outputs and execution of media placements
  • Keep the CET units updated about the timeline, creative assets, formats and selected media platforms.
    • Note: Feedback on the creative output from CET units should be limited to factual inaccuracies only.

If a CET unit would like to use any information found on the SCALE website to create marketing collateral, please inform the SCALE LET MarcomCX team at least two weeks before the date of print.

  • Please avoid using any corporate partner logos. If necessary, please inform the SCALE LET Marketing Team at least one month before the date of print. This is to allow ample time for clearance with the corporate partner.
  • CET units are to follow the NUS Brand Guidelines when designing their marketing collaterals

The L3C currently supports:

  • Modular courses (SSG-funded and non-SSG funded)
  • Short courses (non-SSG funded only)
    • SSG-funded courses are to be published on the Lifelong Learning Application Portal (L3AP)
    • To publish SSG-funded short courses on L3AP, please contact sia@nus.edu.sg
  • Certificates
    • Professional Certificates (non-SSG funded only)
    • Graduate Certificates (SSG-funded and non-SSG funded
    • Specialist Certificates
    • Executive Certificates
  • Please complete the Course Upload Template
  • Email the completed Excel to jaredlai@nus.edu.sg
  • Please allow up to three working days for the course to be published
